Avon Feed
AVON FEED (CORN GLUTEN FEED)
This feed is a by-product from starch/glucose manufacture and is made from maize. It is relatively high in energy, often about 12.5 MJ of ME per kg.
The corn gluten is not as rapidly degraded in the rumen as many other concentrate feeds and provides a good base from which to supplement pasture.
The feed is high in protein (18-24%) with quite a lot of by pass. Dry Matter is typically 90-92%. Feeding rates should be discussed with your consultant.
Avon Feed is available ex Auckland. It is generally available in truck or trailer loads (split loads) or truck and trailer loads. (ie approx. 8T on the truck and 12T on the trailer).
